One Cevdet
Essays
One is Cevdet: essays in one place. The essays think through love and désir, the self and the Other, and what it means to dissolve into someone without disappearing. They read Lacan, Hegel, Nietzsche, Beauvoir, Žižek and Deleuze alongside lived experience, and turn to Camus and René Girard on absurdisme, to Foucault on the quantified heart of social media, and to Heidegger and Bergson on the suspended time of waiting.
Each essay starts from something felt, such as distance, silence or a message left unanswered, and works through it with philosophy rather than around it. The writing keeps its own voice: often lowercase, with concepts set apart in code type so they can be examined.
Everything here is written in English, and every piece has an address of its own, so it can be read, shared and returned to.
